With family ties to northern Michigan dating back to the early 1900’s, returning to those roots seemed like a natural decision for Mark Snyder. Mark grew up in Birmingham, MI, but spent the early years of his career in various places from Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Washington D.C., Las Vegas, to Charlevoix. During that time he worked as a manager/salesperson in boat sales, represented a client in the construction of a 17,000 square foot home, and another on a 65,000 square foot home, immersing himself in research, investigation and negotiations for his clients. He traveled extensively and acquired many skills that he would eventually use in a new line of work.
When he and Valerie decided to come back to Charlevoix to raise their sons, Jacob and Luke, Mark became a licensed Realtor, and put his many talents to work on behalf of northern Michigan buyers and sellers. Serving on the Antrim Kalkaska Charlevoix Board of Realtors, Mark was elected its president in 2013, and then as President of the Northern Michigan Multi-List System board. He is also active in the Charlevoix community, serving as treasurer for the Rayder Gridiron Club, coaching Charlevoix High School Baseball, Charlevoix High School Football, and is active in the Rotary Club of Charlevoix. Mark and Valerie both enjoy the small-town atmosphere and the benefits of watching their sons grow up skiing the local hills, sailing the lakes, and enjoying all that northern Michigan has to offer.
