Sarah grew up in Boyne City, getting to know northern Michigan’s lakes, rivers, hills, forests and yes, even the people. She graduated from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor’s degree in humanitarian environmental science and ceramics. After starting a family in East Lansing with her lifelong partner Joshua, also a Boyne City native, moving back north seemed like an easy decision and relocated to Boyne Falls in 2004.
There is absolutely nothing better than raising children in northern Michigan. With their two beautiful daughters, Gwendolyn and Clementine, they bought a house in Bay Shore in 2006. She feels very lucky to be in the center of three beautiful communities; Petoskey, Charlevoix, and Boyne City.
While working in the service industry for over 20 years, making friends with strangers has become a daily habit. Sarah has volunteered at the Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council, Little Traverse Conservancy, Petoskey Schools, and currently is serving on the board of the Northern Michigan Shores Association.
On occasion, she can be found working at Bier’s Inwood Brewery, south of Charlevoix creating a different kind of community. The love of craft beer really brings people together and she is enjoying watching this family business grow and make a brewery family of its own.
Sarah loves spending time with family and friends, laughing and learning, traveling and fun. While real estate is a new career path for her, she feels that it will fall in line with her love of meeting new people, learning, and adventuring throughout northern Michigan.
In Northern Michigan, I’ve found “my people”, let me help you find yours in one of our gorgeous communities.
