Born and raised in “Surf City USA,” Taylor grew up near the beaches of southern California where sunshine and palm trees were part of her daily life. She attended Cal State University, Fullerton where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and a Master’s degree in Public Administration concentrating in Public Finance. She worked for the County of Orange for six years where she worked closely with department directors and the Board of Supervisors on large projects, such as the construction of a $35M animal shelter, a $127M street connection project and the ongoing homeless efforts.
In April 2018, she moved to East Jordan where her husband, Jim was born and raised. She quickly realized the cultural differences of the big city life she was used to and the small town life her husband was accustomed to. In 2019, she bought a coffee shop from fellow Realtor, Brittany McNeil, and created Iron Goat Coffee. She is proud that her coffee shop serves as an important place in East Jordan for locals to gather and tourists to visit. She continues to explore opportunities where she can utilize her education and experience to benefit local communities and the people they serve. Whether it’s securing their forever home, an investment property, or an empty lot to redevelop, Taylor brings a vibrant perspective to this beautiful region to assist people and families.
She spends her free time volunteering as the Chair for Communities in Schools of Northern Michigan, on various committees for local non-profits; boating in the summer, attending their sons’ sporting events, traveling, and discovering new four-season activities.
