About
A lifelong Michigan native raised in the Grand Rapids area, Brittany has called northern Michigan home since 2011. Moving north is the best decision she’s ever made (why wait until you retire to live where you want to be). She can’t imagine any better place to work and play.
Graduating from Michigan State University in 2008, Brittany taught high school English before leaving to start a coffee shop in downtown Petoskey. Brittany and her husband John own Lake Charlevoix Coffee Company, a coffee shop and roasting company, in downtown Boyne City. Meeting people through the shop as well as being a northern “transplant” helps her understand both the demands of today’s buyers and sellers as well as the local market.
Successful entrepreneurship demands clear communication, customer-focused vision and finding enjoyment in tackling everyday challenges. Is it possible to include mutli-tasking as a hobby you enjoy!? At the end of the day, Brittany is a relationship-building person. She enjoys nurturing connections with the community, customers, staff, friends and family. As a Realtor® she values building those same long-lasting relationships with clients.
In her free time, Brittany and John sail competitively at LTYC, and enjoy skiing at local ski resorts. She organizes a free weekly womens paddleboard group in the summer and serves as a board member for the Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan. She loves to travel.
