Charlevoix Office—Bridging the Lake

Pat O’Brien and Associates Real Estate is a leader in Lake Charlevoix waterfront and inland real estate sales across the Charlevoix County area of northern Michigan. Since its inception in 2005 by Pat O'Brien, this small, independent real estate office in Boyne City has had great success in its field. In 2015, when Pat decided to open a second office location to better serve residents of Charlevoix County, the remarkable city of Charlevoix was an obvious choice.

Charlevoix the Beautiful.

Pronounced “Shar-la-voy”, this charming small town is home to around 2,500 full-time residents, but a beloved destination for countless visitors in all seasons. The visitor interest peaks in the warmer months, when Charlevoix's streets are alive with excited families, enjoying the exceptional shopping and sightseeing.

Charlevoix, like much of northern Michigan, is richly connected to the bodies of water in the area. Charlevoix is located on the shores of Round Lake, an extension of Lake Charlevoix that flows into Lake Michigan via the Pine River Channel. Charlevoix's rich history is apparent in the breathtaking marina, the famous Charlevoix bridge, and the exquisite architecture of Earl Young.

Our Charlevoix office was originally located on Bridge Street in downtown Charlevoix but was lost to a fire on Christmas Eve of 2016. As Pat and Charlevoix managing broker, Mark Snyder, were on the hunt for a new Charlevoix office location, they decided to reach out to an existing Charlevoix real estate brokerage and ask about a possible merger. Long story short, the merger inquiry was met with a resounding yes! Pat O’Brien & Associates' Charlevoix office acquired six awesome new agents, three highly competent staff members, and beautiful new offices located at 701 Bridge Street, just south of downtown.

As you take a leisurely walk down the historic streets of downtown Charlevoix and your senses flood with beautiful sights like the lake, river, and Great Lake, scents like local cherries and apples, rich fudge, freshly-mown grass or a dusting of fresh snow, and sounds like the waterfront bandshell and numerous music venues that dot Charlevoix's streets, you may just realize you've found your new home. If your heart belongs in Charlevoix, give us a call.

We never tire of these wonderful sights, smells, and sounds ourselves. We’d love to show you around and help you find the perfect Lake Charlevoix home for you. The lovely ladies below will be happy to help you—meet Gil, Marrietta, and Amy!
